Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide bedside nursing under an RN with a 3:00 PM–11:30 PM shift. The position is 0.6 FTE, with every-other weekend commitments and no on-call requirements.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, accurate documentation, and family education within a collaborative team. The LVN must hold an AHA BLS for Healthcare Professionals and a CA LVN license, with IV Therapy/Blood Withdrawal certification to be completed within six months

Qualifications

• AHA BLS Healthcare Certification is REQUIRED.
• CA LVN license is REQUIRED.
• IV Therapy/Blood Withdrawal Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs individualized nursing care under the direction of an RN.
• Communicates with the team to coordinate patient care and planned treatments.
• Documents data and patient responses per guidelines.
• Educates patients and families about care plans and IPOC/IPER.
• Implements plan of care and seeks RN input when needed.
• Demonstrates clinical competency and supports ongoing learning.
