Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join a Massachusetts skilled nursing facility. You will oversee medication management, coordinate with physicians and care staff, and provide health education to residents and families.

MA LPN licensure with BLS and influenza vaccination is required, along with at least 1 year of medical/surgical or SNF nursing. The role emphasizes collaboration, regulatory compliance, and quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved and/or accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical/surgical nursing or nursing in a skilled nursing facility.
• Current license to practice nursing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration.
• BLS certification is required.
• Staff must be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medication management and coordinate residents’ medical needs with physicians, nursing leadership, resident care staff, and family members.
• Observe, document, and report significant changes in residents’ conditions.
• Recommend changes in residents’ care needs.
• Assist in supervising Resident Care Aides and ensure care is provided as instructed.
• Participate in direct and indirect nursing care, health maintenance, teaching, counseling, collaborative planning, and rehabilitation.
