The Licensed Practical Nurse delivers nursing care under RN supervision, evaluating patients, administering medications, and supervising unlicensed staff to ensure quality care and patient satisfaction in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients/residents, collect data, observe condition and report changes.
• Contribute to nursing assessments and care planning.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.
• Supervise and monitor care provided by unlicensed staff.
