Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC in Princeton, Indiana is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead hourly staff, coordinate driver deliveries, loading/unloading, and ensure safe, efficient warehousing and dispatch operations.

You will monitor performance, schedule workforce, review daily orders, and support continuous improvement while aligning with cost objectives. The role requires 2–4 years experience, strong communication, MS Office, and willingness to travel; shift is 3:00 PM–12:00 AM.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years related functional experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills are required.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, and pass background/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Communicate performance standards that are specific and measurable, interview hourly associates and provide recommendations for hire, monitor attendance, productivity, and other performance markers and provide counseling and/or recognition to associates as needed.
• Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading/unloading, dispatch and proper documentation and procedure control, evaluate and recommend changes to increase productivity, assist in new associate training, provide relief coverage, and ensure operational systems are understood.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies such as inventory accuracy and control, understand profitability relationships, and manage associates' hours to minimize overtime and meet productivity targets.
• Ensure day-to-day management aligns with location safety strategy, provide training and direction to ensure safe performance, ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
