Job summary

Water Street Mission is seeking a Life Coach Assistant for an evening, part‑time schedule from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with weekend rotation. The role supports guests toward sustainable restoration and works with Residential Life and Community Resources teams to create a safe, healing environment in alignment with WSM’s mission and values.

Qualifications include an Associate degree in human services and at least 1 year serving marginalized populations; bilingual English–Spanish is strongly

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in human services or related field preferred.
Minimum of 1 year’s experience at organizations serving marginalized populations preferred.
Competency in Microsoft Office products required; ability to work with a database (e.g., Salesforce) essential.

Responsibilities

Minister to guests through non-judgmental, grace-filled relationships.
Work every other weekend.
Work holidays as assigned in staff rotation.
Be present in and manage assigned areas of campus (shelter and/or Residential).
Assist with incident management and de-escalation; support Life Coaches.
Assist weekly room checks.
Perform breathalyzer drug tests as directed or needed.
Attend required meetings and trainings (e.g., Multidisciplinary Team, All-Staff).
