Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking an Evening Lab Operations Lead at the Liberty Campus to coordinate staffing, scheduling, and waived testing for the Liberty Lab.

You will lead operational support, drive process improvements, and ensure high-quality, compliant testing while supporting a team with multiple direct reports. This is a full-time, evening shift role in a pediatric lab environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years technical experience in a related laboratory setting.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Preferred: Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification, OR Associate’s degree in science

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations and backup coverage; support supervisor with scheduling and mitigation plans.
• Monitor bench assignments and reallocate staff as needed to meet workflow.
• Resolve complex sample issues and coordinate with site leadership on inpatient phlebotomy needs.
• Oversee waived testing duties and ensure regulatory compliance for testing accuracy.
• Assist preceptors and participate in testing new practices or changes; communicate observations and data-driven insights to supervisor.
