Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Lead Food Services team member for the Evening Shift to assist in operating Food and Nutrition services. This role serves as lead staff in a specific area, supports the Manager, and helps maintain schedules while ensuring safe, courteous service for patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities include tray assembly, simple food prep, serving, station replenishment, cash handling, transporting carts, and using the CBORD system.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years in hospitality or related operation with two years progressive lead/supervisory experience; cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and resolves patient and visitor issues with high levels of customer service and professionalism.
• Assists management in training and overall operations of food service, service standards, menus, cashiers and sanitation.
• Contributes to improvement of department scores for employee engagement and accountability.
• Manages tray assembly, simple food preparation, serving, replenishing stations, and transporting carts as needed.
