Job summary

Washington State University’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Pullman seeks a Farmer 2 to perform diverse tasks caring for large animals and maintaining facilities. The role runs 11:00am–8:00pm Tue–Sat, with potential holiday/weekend coverage.

The full-time position is overtime eligible with a monthly salary between $3,403 and $4,517, and candidates typically start at the lower end of the range while receiving salary increments over time.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in farm work or maintaining livestock; OR equivalent education/experience.
• Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
• Must be available for morning, evening, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Care for large animal species within the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
• Perform a variety of assignments in the care of large animals and facilities.
