Job summary

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use hospital-provided cell phone and tracking system.

Responsibilities

• Maintains schedule to complete routine and on-demand routes daily.
• Handles pickups and deliveries from lab, pharmacy, homecare, referring hospitals, clinics, physician offices and outpatient centers.
• Documents all route information and pickups per department guidelines.
• Monitors weather conditions to preplan trips and delays.
• Maintains safety of cargo and vehicle per hospital guidelines.
• Assists in training of new staff and tracks progress.
• Delivers customer service to ensure patient care quality.
