Job summary

Labcorp in Brentwood, TN is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced clinical laboratory setting. The role supports specimen handling, processing, and data entry, contributing to accurate testing and timely results.

You will operate during the Tuesday to Saturday 2:30pm–11:00pm shift, with responsibilities spanning specimen preparation, equipment checks, and adherence to safety and quality SOPs. A high school diploma suffices for this entry-level position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards
