Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Laboratory Support Technician to join the clinical laboratory team. This role provides technical knowledge, accuracy and judgment to support a range of laboratory services. The shift is 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with an 8/40 hour schedule.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Documentation and processing of lab results.
• Assists with pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical test processes.
• Completes assigned duties and responsibilities without error using written policies, procedures and other appropriate resources.
• Performs procedures within acceptable training time intervals; meets department turnaround time goals.
• Evaluates work for accuracy and verifies questionable findings with supervision guidance.
• Performs clerical functions related to patient reception, noninvasive sample collection, and demonstrates assessment of work-related factors.
