Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a phlebotomist for the IU Pathology Lab on an evening full-time schedule (12pm–8:30pm, M-F). You will collect specimens, enter orders, prepare blood components, and perform pre-analytic processing.

Responsibilities include patient/specimen registration and delivery of specimens, plus related clerical tasks. Requirements: HS diploma or GED, phlebotomy training, computer/telephone skills, and a valid Indiana driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Completion of phlebotomy training program; lab experience preferred.
• May require Indiana Driver's license and clean driving history.
• Proficiency with computers and telephone skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide general laboratory services including specimen collection, order entry, and pre-analytic processing.
• Register patients and specimens and deliver specimens as needed.
• Perform related clerical tasks as assigned.
