Job summary

Morrison Healthcare at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville is hiring for a full-time Steward position to maintain kitchen areas and equipment in clean, orderly condition. The role requires basic sanitation tasks and operation of dishwashing and related machinery in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Previous sanitation and kitchen equipment cleaning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors to maintain sanitation standards.
• Operate large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
• Wash work surfaces, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks and other food prep areas.
• Transfer supplies between storage and work areas observing safe lifting standards.
• Assist with banquet setup and loading/unloading of supplies and products.
• Distribute supplies and equipment as needed.
• Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
