Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Food Service Assistant at our Battle Lake facility. You will prepare and serve meals for patients, residents, staff and visitors, following menu and dietary guidelines, while maintaining HACCP standards.

This full-time evening-shift role offers 40 hours per week, rotating weekends/holidays, and benefits including health, dental and vision insurance; pay ranges from $18.00 to $23.50 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of applicable experience preferred.
• Serv Safe certification may be required depending on location.
• Good math skills and ability to read/write directions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food for patients/residents, staff, and visitors following menus and dietary guidelines.
• Maintain sanitation and HACCP compliance; document temperatures.
• Operate kitchen equipment and manage labeling/storage of food and supplies.
• Work with internal customers and demonstrate strong teamwork.
