Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a part-time janitor for evening shifts to perform all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas across client sites. The role offers $15 per hour with weekly pay.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, restrooms, windows, and common areas; following chemical safety procedures; and using floor care equipment as needed. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or six months janitorial experience.
• On the job training will be provided.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and other objects
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas
• Empty trash cans for proper disposal; use of compactor for certain materials
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies
• Follow housekeeping schedule
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
• Other duties as assigned, as required by the scope of work or customer needs
