Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center at Fort Wayne is seeking an Intake Nurse for the evening shift to support seamless admission into treatment. You will perform nursing duties, handle vitals, drug screens, appointments, and labs, and coordinate pharmacy needs.

You will work with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to ensure complete documentation and compliant care for each client. Strong communication and compassionate care are essential.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma program post-high school completed.
• Current state licensure or compact licensure with multistate privileges.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Compassionate, professional demeanor aligned with recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage complete medical intake to ensure a smooth transition into treatment.
• Perform nursing duties: vitals, drug screens, appointments, and labs.
• Coordinate pharmacy needs, dispense meds, and log meds accurately.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical and utilization review teams for care coordination.
• Ensure timely, accurate medical documentation for each client.
