Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care using the nursing process from admission to discharge. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessments, discharge planning, care coordination, documentation, and ongoing patient education in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold Massachusetts licensure and registration.
• Completion of an accredited nursing program is required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS as applicable.
• Equivalency may be substituted with relevant experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individualized plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates, and evaluates nursing care.
• Documents patient care per standard procedure and maintains education plans for patient/family.
