Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health professional at the South Suburban Hospital. This role provides inpatient mental health services, conducts assessments, and supports patient recovery within a safe unit. Three 8-hour shifts per week, 3pm–11:30pm, with every other weekend and some holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Sociology or related field.
• Two years experience.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient mental health services with focus on patient recovery.
• Monitor individual, group and family therapies.
• Assist with admission and discharge process.
• Provide mental health assessments, counseling, referrals and interventions.
• Complete and maintain documentation per federal, state and AAH guidelines.
• Perform patient belong checks, safety checks and unit tours for new patients.
• Maintain a safe milieu and ligature-free environment of care.
• Assist staff in performing patient vital signs, glucose tests and activities of daily living.
