Job summary

Sanmina Corporation is seeking an Injection Molding Technician for a Mon-Fri, 3pm–11pm shift. You will set up molding machines per set up work instructions and provide processing support for production in the plastic molding areas.

Apply Scientific Molding principles to troubleshoot scrap, optimize cycle times and process parameters, and coordinate with Production and Process Engineering. Maintain a clean, organized area per 5S and use Excel, Word, Google Docs, and other software.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the injection molding process and scientific molding principles.
• 2 years of molding set up and/or processing experience preferred.
• Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Set up injection molding machines as per set up work instructions and production schedule.
• Provide troubleshooting expertise to resolve injection molding process problems.
• Optimize process parameters including automation settings to reduce cycle times.
• Be a liaison between Production and Process Engineering to assure open lines of communication.
• Maintain a clean and organized manufacturing area, adhering to 5S standards.
• Organize all needed equipment into a work station as needed.
• Supply material to the work stations as needed.
• Remove completed product from work station as needed.
• Utilize computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Docs, and other computer programs.
• Support Lean/Six Sigma initiatives within the facility.
• Assist in advancing technical problem solving skills among the technician group.
