Job summary

Avery Dennison is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician to lead equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility uptime at our Fitchburg, MA site. You will diagnose electrical/PLC faults, troubleshoot mechanical systems, and drive continuous improvement with the team.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, a High School diploma, and a willingness to obtain additional certifications. On-site work with a focus on safety and productivity is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certifications in specialty areas preferred or obtainable within timing.
• Electrical certification/training or 3-5 years experience.
• PLC certification/training or 3-5 years experience.
• Strong problem-solving and math/technical aptitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, safety conscious.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics and repair of mechanical systems, motors, conveyors, and pneumatic/hydraulic components.
• Read schematics and use PLCs to diagnose faults on automated lines.
• Perform preventative maintenance schedules per OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with team and engineers to reduce downtime and improve processes.
• Maintain a safe work area and keep maintenance logs.
