Job summary

Salinas Valley Health Imaging Administration is seeking a patient-focused team member to support PACS operations, patient transport, and administrative tasks for radiology exams. You will register patients, pre-log, schedule, and assist technologists with imaging workflows in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS/Healthcare Provider current certification within 6 months of hire, and 1–2 years of related experience; familiarity with medical terminology is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards; must obtain within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred; medical terminology knowledge is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate PACS to transmit and print/burn CDs of patient imaging studies.
• Assist patients with lifting/movement and prep for procedures.
• Assist technologists with PACS, room cleaning and patient prep.
• Transport patients by wheelchair, stretcher, or assistive walking.
• Registers/pre-registers patients and pre-logs for procedures.
• Enter exams into the computer system and verify orders for next day.
