Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Brigham and Women’s Hospital seeks a Security Officer for Friday/Saturday/Sunday evenings (3p-11p) to safeguard patients, staff and facilities. You will patrol buildings, respond to incidents, and deliver courteous service across hospital environments.

Ideal candidates have 1-3 years security experience, a high school diploma (associate/bachelor’s preferred), a valid driver’s license, and are prepared to obtain CPR/AED/First Aid and related certifications within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of security or related experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Background check required.
• CPR/AED/First Aid, Narcan, De-Escalation, IA HSS Basic Officer Certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide protection to people and property through patrol, investigation, and surveillance.
• Interact with patients, visitors and staff in a professional, proactive manner.
• Prepare and submit clear, concise incident reports.
• Provide escorts for staff, visitors and patients as requested.
• Respond to emergencies and assist in various safety tasks.
