Job summary

Prime Healthcare’s Saint Joseph Hospital in Elgin seeks a part-time pharmacist for evening shifts. Under the Director of Pharmacy, you will coordinate department activities to ensure high-quality pharmaceutical care and patient safety across multiple units including ICU, obstetrics, pediatrics, emergency, and outpatient services.

The role requires licensure as a pharmacist in Illinois, hospital pharmacy experience preferred, and a BS in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred).

Qualifications

• Current state Registered Pharmacist License.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy operations preferred.
• B.S. degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the activities of the pharmacy department to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care and patient safety.
• Oversee care across General Medicine/Surgical, ICU, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Peri-operative, Geriatrics and Outpatient Services.
