RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Housekeeping Worker in Newark, NJ, for the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Environmental Services team. The role covers cleaning patient rooms, nursing stations, and other areas per standard procedures with an evening shift. This is a part-time hourly position offering pay around $19.98/hour.

Responsibilities include waste handling, room readiness, and following the hospital's 7-step cleaning procedures to support a safe, clean environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of general and department specific orientation
• Previous Hospital housekeeping preferred

Responsibilities

• Arrange furniture for meetings, workshops and community events
• Assist in cleaning of spills as observed or requested
• Clean housekeeping closet and maintain par levels
• Collect and transport all waste according to policy
• Compact trash or place in containers
• Damp buff and shampoo carpets with approved equipment
• Dry and wet mop floors in rooms and offices
• Dust mop and wet mop corridors and common areas
• Empty waste receptacles and remove trash
• Maintain equipment and request repairs when needed
• Observe and report equipment or fixture repairs
• Perform patient discharge cleaning using 7-step procedure
• Refill towels, toilet paper, soap and dispensers
• Ensure Patient Ready Room standards are met in all rooms
