Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking an Environmental Svc Attendant I for a Part Time, 0.80 FTE, Evening position in Springfield, Oregon. The role focuses on cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms and common areas in accordance with hospital policies to support a safe, healthy environment.

You will handle routine housekeeping tasks, restock supplies, and coordinate with clinical staff to prioritize cleaning needs, while delivering reliable, courteous service to patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of formal housekeeping experience preferred.
• Experience in hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
• Driver's license may be required.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision required.
• Strong customer service skills required.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect assigned areas according to departmental procedures.
• Dust, mop, vacuum, spot clean carpets, wash walls and furnishings, restock supplies.
• Set up furniture in conference rooms as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping cart, restock paper receptacles, replace sharps containers, order supplies.
• Respond to emergency cleaning needs promptly.
• In clinical areas, communicate with clinical personnel to determine priority of cleaning needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
