Job summary

PeaceHealth in Oregon is hiring a Food Service Assistant - Nutrition Services for a Per Diem/Relief Evening role. You will perform preparation, service, cleanup and delivery of food in a hospital cafeteria and catering operations, following HACCP guidelines.

Requirements include a High School Diploma (preferred), 1 year of experience preferred, Oregon Food Handlers Card required, strong customer service, and ability to work with others and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year work experience preferred.
• Retail food service experience preferred.
• Food Handlers Card - Oregon required.
• Strong customer service skills required.
• Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation required.
• Ability to work well with others required.
• Ability to communicate effectively to perform duties

Responsibilities

• Prepare, mix, assemble, portion, serve and store food following guidelines.
• Operate dish machine, wash pots and perform heavy cleaning following sanitation guidelines.
• Transport equipment, food, supplies and trash as directed.
• May act as cafeteria cashier/running the cash register.
• Follow guidelines for station setup and cleanup.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
