Qualifications

• Minimum one year of housekeeping/janitorial experience or two years in a comparable role.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training is required for all positions at Alameda Health System.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors, walls, and surfaces; strip and wax floors; wash with safety equipment as needed.
• Maintain records and provide simple oral/written reports on work.
• May lead a small team of Housekeeping Porters and supervise routine tasks.
• Perform cleaning in sterile/aseptic areas such as Delivery, Nursery, Isolation, Operating Rooms.
• Specialized cleaning tasks like shampooing carpets and upholstery.
• Wash windows, walls, and ceilings using appropriate equipment up to 12 feet.
