Job summary

Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services team member to perform cleaning duties across patient areas. The role is full-time, evenings, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday through Friday with weekend and holiday rotation, onsite at 1153 Centre Street in Jamaica Plain.

You will follow 8-step cleaning procedures, manage waste, handle patient equipment, assist with room set-ups, and maintain infection control standards while lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety rules.
• Willingness to learn healthcare cleaning standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs 8-step cleaning procedures and daily and discharge cleaning.
• Cleans patient rooms, beds, equipment, and room furnishings.
• Hangs curtains and maintains room cleanliness.
• Disposes of organic waste following safety guidelines.
• Assists in moves, room setups, and event preparations.
• Supports in cleaning during spills and maintains hygiene practices.
