Job summary

HealthPartners in Hutchinson, MN is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment. You will handle cleaning of patient rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and common areas, with attention to detail and infection-control practices.

The role is 32 hours per week (FTE 0.8), evenings with every-other weekend, offering cross-training opportunities across cleaning routes and a supportive team in Environmental Services.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, perform simple calculations, and follow directions accurately.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and equipment maintenance preferred.
• Experience as housekeeper/janitor/custodian preferred.
• General knowledge of furniture, floor and wall cleaning required.
• Knowledge of sanitation and cleanliness required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains assigned work areas in a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive manner.
• Cleans furniture, bathrooms, patient rooms, waiting rooms, conference rooms, hallways, stairs, elevators, floors, carpets, windows, etc., and disposes of trash and infectious waste.
• Ensures cleaning equipment is available and stored after use.
• Reports safety hazards and equipment issues to Facility Services.
• Assists in training of co-workers and attends service area meetings.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
