Job summary

UPMC Williamsport Environmental Services Associate is a part-time position, cleaning patient rooms, public areas, offices and equipment to meet hospital standards. Responsibilities include moving equipment and maintaining environments to promote quality care.

Shifts include two 5pm-1:30am days, one 5pm-9pm day, plus weekends/holidays on a 6/7 schedule. The role offers competitive wages, a total-rewards package, and strong leadership support.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions to complete housekeeping duties.
• Ability to use housekeeping equipment safely and effectively.
• 18 years old preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make beds, following established cleaning procedures in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
• Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair, report problems to the supervisor.
• Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations of assigned areas to ensure an adequate supply.
• Clean all assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices, and equipment, following established procedures.
• Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition, report problems and suggestions to the supervisor.
• Remove trash from all assigned areas.
• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
• Move equipment, furniture, boxes; wash walls, spot carpets, etc., as assigned.
