Qualifications

• Basic reading and writing skills.
• 1–3 months on‑the‑job training to learn departmental policies and procedures.
• Basic understanding of age-specific developmental stages of patients and appropriate interaction.

Responsibilities

• Create a sanitary, safe environment and enhance the appearance of the facility.
• Service and maintain cleanliness in patient areas, offices, restrooms, patient bathrooms, conference rooms, kitchens, lounges, therapy areas and other areas.
• Follow policies and procedures on patient isolation.
• Stock paper items and other supplies in patient rooms.
• Maintain carts and equipment in clean, working condition and store in appropriate storage areas when finished.
