Job summary

Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus is seeking an Environmental Services Team Lead to join a world-class care environment on the night shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with every third weekend and holiday rotation.

As a Team Lead, you will train caregivers, manage schedules, ensure cleanliness and safety, and collaborate with management to maintain a sanitary environment. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year in Environmental Services; leadership

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others in coordinating multiple tasks.
• One year of experience in Environmental Services or housekeeping role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general training and orientation for new caregivers in floor care, wall washing, carpet cleaning and special procedures.
• Assist with scheduling to ensure resource availability and reassign schedules as needed.
• Inform supervisor of performance concerns and policy violations.
• Collaborate with Environmental Services Team Leads and management to maintain a sanitary, safe environment.
• Clean patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Follow policies and procedures on patient isolation.
• Stock paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated.
• Maintain cart and equipment in clean, working condition and store in appropriate storage area when finished with shift.

A caregiver in this role works nights from 11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. with every third weekend and holiday rotation requirements.

• Leadership experience or experience providing work direction
• Strong customer service skills

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full body motion, including ability to perform work while lifting, bending, stooping, crouching, squatting, and reaching.
• Requires continuous walking and standing on hard surfaces.
• Requires regular handling and use of disinfectants and other cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Light Work - Exerting 11 to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $18.55

Maximum hourly: $24.81
