Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking an Environmental Services Aide for a mid-shift role, Monday to Friday 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM with rotating weekends.

The position focuses on cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms and specified areas according to proper guidelines. Responsibilities include safe use of cleaning supplies, room preparation, floor scrubbing, dusting, cleaning restrooms and dining areas, trash removal, and adherence to schedules and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• General cleaning and sanitizing of patient areas per guidelines.
• Ability to follow schedules and safety requirements.
• Experience in housekeeping preferred (hospital or institutional).

Responsibilities

• Uses appropriate cleaning supplies and chemicals according to department procedures.
• Cleans and prepares patient rooms, beds, stretchers, other assigned areas.
• Scrubs, mops and buffs floors.
• Dusts and polishes furniture.
• Cleans glass, woodwork, toilets, washrooms and fixtures.
• Cleans sinks in kitchen and dining area.
• Removes trash to designated stations.
• Attends department staff meetings.
