Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a hospital environmental services worker to maintain safety and cleanliness across our facilities. The role is onsite at 102 Endicott Street, with a regular 40-hour week in the Evening shift.

The position emphasizes thorough cleaning, waste management, restroom sanitation, and equipment handling. A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, with 2–3 years hospital cleaning experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Experience with hospital cleaning equipment and chemicals (2–3 years) preferred.
• Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently but also be a team player.
• Good communication and comprehension skills.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.
• Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, windows, sills, blinds, and door glass.
• Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles in assigned areas.
• Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and fixtures, replenish supplies.
• Picks up debris around building.
• Operate high/low speed stripping/buffing machines.
• Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for events and activities.
• Identify and report building maintenance needs.
