Job summary

IU Health Fishers Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Evening Shift Environmental Services team member to clean and sanitize patient rooms and hospital spaces onsite. You will follow infection control standards, use proper PPE, and support safe patient flow during rotations through evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc.
• Physical requirements include standing for long periods and lifting up to 80% of the time.
• Requires ability to operate light floor cleaning equipment.
• Requires the ability to climb ladders.
• Clean areas that require technical cleaning including IR/Cardiac Cath/Mother-Baby/NICU/OR/ED.

Responsibilities

• Provides cleaning and sanitizing services to support a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, offices, clinics, clinical and procedural areas, and public spaces.
• Supports patient safety through high-quality service and infection control standards.
• Applies disinfection protocols and uses approved cleaning tools in alignment with hospital policy.
• Communicates with clinical teams to ensure cleaning supports patient safety and care flow.
