Iowa Home Care is hiring a dependable and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a part-time evening position in Cumming, IA. You will provide one-on-one home care to help the patient stay comfortable, safe, and independent.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, mobility, vital signs, and daily living tasks while following safety and infection control protocols. This role offers meaningful patient interaction and opportunities for ongoing training within a locally owned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CNA certification in good standing on the Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in home care, nursing home, or hospital settings preferred.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and insurance required.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, with a commitment to client safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Help with toileting and other personal care needs.
• Assist with walking, transfers, positioning, and mobility.
• Take and document vital signs as directed.
• Assist with catheter and G-tube care as trained and directed.
• Help with light housekeeping related to the patient's care.
• Assist with laundry, dishes, and maintaining a safe living environment.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and PPE procedures.
• Watch for changes in the patient's condition and communicate concerns to the nursing team.
• Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support.
• Respect each patient's privacy, routines, preferences, and dignity.
