Qualifications

• Healthcare security experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain required state or local security licenses or certifications.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and respond quickly in emergencies.
• Basic computer skills for incident reporting and email.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect unsafe or suspicious activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify identification and control access.
• Respond to security incidents, alarms, and calls for assistance professionally.
• Assist clinical and administrative staff with patient, visitor, and staff safety as needed.
• Document incidents and complete clear, accurate reports in a timely manner.
• Enforce facility rules with dignity and respect.
• Support fire safety and emergency procedures, including evacuations when required.
• Use and care for safety equipment and PPE properly.
• Follow all policies, reporting hazards and incidents.
