Job summary

University of Scranton, Department of Communication & Media, is seeking a Groundskeeper for the 2nd shift to maintain campus landscaping, operate grounds equipment, and support snow removal and related tasks. Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, litter removal, and assisting with event setup across university properties while adhering to safety and university policies.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Valid PA driver’s license required or ability to obtain one.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains university landscaping and grounds, including lawn care and planting tasks.
• Operates grounds equipment and performs snow removal as needed.
• Rakes leaves, cleans streets, and handles general campus upkeep and safety.
• Supports events and campus activities with setup, furniture moves, and space preparation.
• Maintains trees and landscapes; responds to weather-related campus maintenance needs.
