Job summary

Brightpoint Community College seeks a part-time faculty member to teach evening courses in Geospatial Technology using the ArcGIS software suite. The role is limited to a maximum of 12 credit hours per semester and requires instructional delivery in a two-year public institution setting.

The candidate will teach ArcGIS concepts, assist students with maps and spatial analysis, and perform duties as assigned, including supporting state government during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• At least two years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient use of instructional technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Experience with ArcGIS for land development projects (optional).

Responsibilities

• Teach basic concepts of ArcGIS for data visualization and map creation.
• Assist students in editing maps and applying spatial data analysis techniques.
• Complete other duties as assigned and support agency or state government during emergencies.
