Job summary

Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA is seeking an Environmental Services Floor Technician to maintain cleanliness across hospital and adjacent buildings. The role involves floor care (stripping, waxing, refinishing), carpet work, and coordinating with EVS team.

Shift is evenings, full-time, with 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM hours and requires independent work as well as teamwork. Candidates should have at least 1 year of hospital EVS experience or 2 years preferred, high school diploma, and

Qualifications

One (1) year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures required.
Prefer two years of Floor Tech experience in a healthcare setting.
Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively.
Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
Must be able to communicate and understand English.

Responsibilities

Floor scrubbing/stripping, refinishing, carpet shampooing, carpet extraction, cleaning floor corners/edges/baseboards.
Mops, sweeps, scrubs, and strips floor; applies floor sealers and finishes.
Full vacuuming in traffic areas and debris on carpets.
Spot clean carpets as needed; extraction and bonneting methods.
