Responsibilities

• Identify patient and perform venipuncture per requisition.
• Print collection batch labels and ensure proper labeling.
• Adhere to infection control standards and deliver specimens timely.
• Process specimens for send-out using proper procedures.
• Support department processes, maintain turnaround times and HIPAA compliance.
• Handle calls, document issues and escalate to supervisor when needed.
• Manage supplies and inventory, including ordering and stocking.
• Deliver lab supplies and transport samples to testing areas.
• Print and deliver lab reports promptly.
