Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer at a visitor welcome station in Detroit, MI. You will provide front desk security, greet visitors, verify credentials, maintain logs, and support access control with a customer-service approach.

We value flexible scheduling, including evening shifts on Fridays and Saturdays. The role emphasizes safety, incident handling, and teamwork within a dynamic site environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and effectively.
• Monitor front desk access, greet visitors, verify credentials, and direct guests.
• Maintain visitor logs, issue access credentials, and communicate information to staff.
• Monitor entry areas and report unusual activity or facility issues per site policies.
