Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions in Minnesota is looking for a Freight Handler/Yard Driver for the 3pm–11pm shift. This safety‑sensitive role loads and unloads freight from trailers using a forklift, pallet jack, and/or handcart, and trains to operate safety equipment efficiently.

The job requires lifting abilities, strong communication, and a valid driver’s license, with an emphasis on teamwork and safety in both yard and warehouse settings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Lift up to 50 pounds frequently; up to 90 pounds occasionally.
• At least six months forklift experience.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand carts.
• Use handheld scanners to track and document freight.
• Identify, sticker, and stage inbound freight accurately.
• Verify freight condition to meet quality standards.
• Split duties 50/50 between warehouse and yard.
• Drive straight trucks or tractor-trailer combos safely and legally.
