Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior warehousing or freight handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior dock/warehouse experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers for loading to trailers.
• Perform freight handling using forklift, pallet jack and hand truck.
• Verify documents match freight description (type, weight, hazardous materials).
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
