Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Material Handler to join a clean, organized facility with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. The role involves forklift operation, picking, packing, and shipping tasks within a fast-paced distribution environment.

Shifts run Monday to Friday from 2:30pm to 11:00pm with weekends off; starting pay is $19.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift premium. Ryder emphasizes safety, teamwork, and opportunities for growth across the US.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Operate within contract performance measurement guidelines.
Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading/unloading of trucks.
Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hours.
Performs other duties as assigned.
