Job summary

EGGER North America is hiring a Forklift Operator for our Lexington, NC facility. This full-time role supports materials handling, loading, staging, and shipment of finished products while maintaining strict safety and inspection protocols.

The position requires forklift operation experience, attentiveness, and the ability to work independently or within a team in a manufacturing environment. Standard schedule is Mon-Fri, 11am–7:30pm, with potential for occasional alternate shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience operating an industrial forklift in a warehouse, manufacturing, or similar environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safe forklift operating procedures, company policies, and safety guidelines.
• Ability to maintain focus and attention while working independently for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, unload, move, and stage large wood-based materials and finished products using a forklift.
• Transport raw materials and other materials to designated production and storage areas to support operational needs.
• Load finished products onto trucks and railcars for shipment to customers, ensuring proper placement and secure handling.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for visible damage, quality concerns, and other discrepancies.
• Identify and report material shortages, damages, and quality deficiencies to the appropriate personnel.
• Perform required pre- and post-operation inspections of forklifts and related material-handling equipment.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, damage, or maintenance and repair needs.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials are stored and moved to the appropriate locations.
