Job summary

Weyerhaeuser in Santa Clarita is seeking a Forklift and Building Materials Operator to safely move products within our distribution center during the evening shift.

You will load and unload, operate propane or gas forklifts, perform basic math for shipping, and help maintain quality and safety; training provided; must work outdoors, five days a week with possible Saturdays; base pay $20.75/hour with shift differential, overtime possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior forklift operator experience required; training provided.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move or slide up to 100 pounds.
• Able to work outside in the elements five days a week and occasional Saturdays.
• Ability to work on a computer; strong teamwork and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain propane or gas forklift to move products from stock lines to staging and/or cut stations.
• Safely load and unload products from various trailers and rail cars.
• Accurately count units, record totals and document shipping and receiving activities.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of building material products and warehouse operations.
• Commit to quality, efficiency, and continuous process improvement.
• Work as part of a team and maintain safety for yourself and others.
