Job summary

NHC HealthCare Oakwood in Lewisburg, TN, is seeking a Part Time Evening Food Service Tech / Dishwasher to support our dietary team. This role contributes to quality patient meals and maintains a clean, safe kitchen environment, with an evening shift starting at 3:00 p.m.

You will wash dishes and serviceware, assist with tray assembly and meal service, follow sanitation procedures, and provide courteous care to patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willing and able to work an evening schedule beginning at 3:00 p.m.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced food service environment.
• Previous food service, dishwashing, or health care experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, trays, and food service equipment.
• Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen, dishwashing, dining, storage, and food preparation areas.
• Assist with dining room setup, meal service, and cleanup.
• Help prepare meal trays and support accurate and timely meal service.
• Assist with preparing and serving meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary instructions.
• Properly store food, supplies, dishes, and equipment.
• Follow safe food handling, sanitation, infection control, and safety procedures.
• Remove trash and assist with maintaining an organized work environment.
• Provide courteous service to patients, residents, families, visitors, and fellow partners.
• Assist the dietary team with additional duties as assigned.
