Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) – Preston Veterans Home is seeking two part-time Food Service Workers for the evening shift (3:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m.). Responsibilities include food preparation, short order cooking, serving residents, dishwashing, and maintaining clean service areas.

Schedule is at least 16 hours per 2-week period and may vary. Preference given to applicants with Food Service experience in plating/serving and knowledge of sanitation standards; ServSafe

Qualifications

• Food service experience, Prep, plating and serving food.
• Knowledge of basic sanitation standards.
• ServSafe Food Certificate advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine food service tasks including food preparation and short order cooking.
• Serve meals to residents and dishwash, clean and maintain areas.
