Job summary

Avera Tyler Hospital is seeking a food service team member to help provide quality patient meals through snack and meal assembly, service, and cleanup. You will prepare and serve items according to diet and menu requirements, maintain cleanliness, and stock areas as needed.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and attention to safety and sanitation standards. High school diploma or GED and 0–6 months food service experience preferred; evening shifts available.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work the hours specified.
• Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others; hear and distinguish speech.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize assigned food items efficiently and accurately for patients and other customers.
• Serve food items in accordance with diet, specifications and menu requirements.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, dishes, pots/pans, floor mats, floors, and work areas.
• Stock storerooms, refrigerators and work areas with supplies using first in, first out principle.
• Operate dish machine and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• May work the register, close out register and counts money.
